Guestlist permissions give you full control over who can see, manage, or contribute to your event’s guestlist. Whether your event's guestlist is public, approval-based, or closed, you can tailor permissions to match your approach—ensuring guest data stays private or collaborative as needed.
Overview
Permissions for the Guestlist are set at the Members Permissions and apply to events in that band (in case you have more then 1 band on tourmanagement.com). You can define what each band member can do: from viewing their own guests to approving all entries. This ensures that only the right people have access to sensitive guest information or controls.
Only users with the Manage Guestlist permission can create, edit, or delete Guestlists within events.
Setting Permissions
There are two ways to adjust a member's guestlist permissions:
From the Members Page on top of the screen
Go to your band’s Members section.
Click the Action button next to the member’s name in the list.
Select Edit Permissions.
Scroll down to the guestlist setting.
From the Permissions Overview (also in the Members page, in the left pane.
Use the left-hand menu to navigate to Permissions for a complete overview and quick editing across desired members.
Navigate to the desired member and select the button on the right side "Edit all permissions" to navigate directly to the settings.
This is the recommended method if you’re managing multiple roles.
Guestlist Permission Types
Each permission is split into two scopes:
All Events – applies to every event in the band.
Attending Events Only – limits access to events the member is marked as attending.
Permission | What it allows |
Manage Guestlist | Create, edit, or delete Guestlist within event pages. |
Manage All Guests | Full control: create, edit, delete, and approve all guests (if approval is required). |
Add Guests | Add, edit, or delete your own guest entries. Cannot affect guests added by others. |
View All Guests | View all guests on the event guestlist, regardless of who added them. |
View Own Guests | View only the own guests added to the list. This is ideal for privacy-focused setups. |
Closed or Approval-Based Lists: Limit “Manage All Guests” to tour managers or admins.
Public Lists with Privacy Concerns: Use “View Own Guests” to restrict visibility.
Large Crews: Use the Permissions Overview to quickly check and adjust access levels for every individual.
