Customize Your Event with Self Created Information Sections

Self created blocks let you personalise your event details with custom, reusable sections tailored to your band’s needs. Whether it’s information about nearby golf courses, weather updates, or swimming spots, these blocks help you organize and display extra details right inside your event view.

How to Add a Self Created Section

To set up a new custom block, refer to the Custom Info Sections article in the Band Settings section.

Adding a Self Created Section to an Event

  1. Open your Event Details page.

  2. Click the + Add to Event button in the left-hand column.

  3. Select your custom Section (e.g., "Golf Course") from the list.

  4. Fill in your information and possible attachments

  5. Hit the Create button.

The Section will now appear within your event on the left hand pane.

Tip: To reuse an information in this section from another event, use the Import from Another Event feature.

Editing and Formatting the Section

  • Rename the Title (optional): Click the title to update it for this event.

  • Add Descriptive Text: Use the main text field to include relevant information. You can:

    • Format text (bold, italic)

    • Create bullet or numbered lists

    • Add hyperlinks to external websites

Adding Extra Content to the Section

Each self created section supports the following add-ons:

  • + Place:

    • Click + Place.

    • Select + Add new place, or pick from previously saved places.

  • + Contact:

    • Click + Contact.

    • Choose + Add new contact, or reuse one from your contact database.

  • + File:

    • Click + File.

    • Upload a file via Choose File or drag it into the dotted area.

    • Provide a Title (required) and optional Description.

    • Click Add File.

  • + Image:

    • Click + Image.

    • Upload via Choose File or drag into the drop zone.

    • Optionally add a Description.

    • Click Add Image.

Once complete, hit Finish Editing to save your updates.

You can always edit after, by navigating to the desired section and use the 3 dots on the right of the tittle.

Control Who Can See the Section

Use Permission Settings to control visibility:

  • Make the block visible to all band members or only selected individuals.

  • Great for optional details that not everyone needs (like local amenities).
