Keeping your events organized is key to a smooth tour. Adding events to your calendar ensures everyone stays on the same page and your schedule runs like clockwork. Let's get started!
Before you start:
Make sure you have the "Create Events" permission in your band. Otherwise, you won’t be able to add events just yet.
Step 1: Log in and Find the Calendar
First things first, log in to app.tourmanagement.com. Once you’re in, navigate to the Calendar by clicking on the "Calendar" section at the top of your sceen.
Step 2: Select Your Band
Look up at the top left of the screen and use the Band Selector to make sure you’ve selected the right band. No one wants to accidentally schedule their jazz trio’s gig with their metal band's calendar!
Step 3: Add an Event in Calendar View
Now that you’re in "Calendar View," it's time to add your event. Make sure you're on the correct month, then hover over the date when you want the event to happen. A green "+ Event" button will appear – click it! This opens the event pop-up where you can fill in all the necessary details.
Alternative: Use the "+ Add New Event" Button
If hovering isn’t your style, there’s another way! Whether you’re in Calendar or List view, you’ll find a green "+ Add new event" button at the bottom right of your screen. Click it, and you’re ready to start creating.
Step 4: Fill in the Event Details
In the pop-up, fill in the following fields:
- Title (*): Give your event a name, e.g., “Headline Show Brussels, BE”.
- Date (*): Select the date of the event.
- Start Time: Add the event’s start time - we recommend using the actual show time.
- Time Zone (*): Ensure the correct time zone is set for the event.
-
Event Type (*): Click the type that best describes your event (e.g., Performance, Rehearsal).
- Need to customize your event types? Click the "manage" link next to the event types to adjust them in your band settings.
- Status (*): Indicate the event’s current status (e.g., Confirmed, Pending).
- Description: Add extra details about the event, such as other acts performing, info about a corporate event, ...
(*) Heads Up: The Title, Date, Time Zone, Event Type, and Status fields are mandatory. The other fields are optional but can be quite useful when filled in.
Step 5: Create the Event
Once you’ve filled in all the required info, click the green "Create event" button. If you need to add more events, you can also select "Create and add another." This helps speed up the process, saving you some valuable time!
