Once members have been added to the People Block, you can manage their details, update their status, or remove them as needed. These actions ensure your event’s People Block remains accurate and up-to-date.
How to Access Member Management
To edit or delete members in the People Block:
- On the Event Details page, locate the People Block.
- Click the three dots (•••) next to the block title and select "Edit" from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll to the Added Members section to see the list of current members.
Editing Member Status
To edit a member’s status:
- In the Added Members section, click the "Actions" button next to the member’s name.
- Choose one of the available actions based on the member’s current status:
Available Actions for All Members
- More Info: View a log of changes to the member’s status, including timestamps for when updates were made.
- Delete: Removes the member from the People Block. A confirmation popup will appear before the member is deleted.
Editing Status for Regular Statuses (Attending, Maybe Attending, Not Attending)
When a member has a regular status, clicking "Edit Status" opens a popup where you can choose from the following options:
- Set to Maybe Attending: Updates the status to tentative.
- Send RSVP: Sends an RSVP request to confirm availability.
- Set to Not Attending: Updates the status to indicate the member will not attend.
After making your selection, click "Update Status" (or "Update Status and Send RSVP" for RSVP requests) to confirm, or click "Cancel" to exit without saving changes.
Editing Status for Pending RSVP Members
If the member’s current status is Pending RSVP, clicking "Edit Status" offers the following options:
- Cancel RSVP and Set to Attending: Cancels the RSVP request and manually updates the member’s status to "Attending."
- Cancel RSVP and Set to Maybe Attending: Cancels the RSVP request and manually updates the member’s status to "Maybe Attending."
- Resend RSVP: Sends a new RSVP request to the member, prompting them to confirm their attendance.
- Cancel RSVP and Set to Not Attending: Cancels the RSVP request and manually updates the member’s status to "Not Attending."
When performing any of these actions, the member will receive an email with updated RSVP information. If you manually set the status, the member will no longer be able to respond to the previously sent RSVP request.
Deleting Members
To remove a member from the People Block:
- Click the "Actions" button next to the member’s name in the Added Members section.
- Select "Delete" from the dropdown menu.
- A confirmation popup will appear. Click "Yes, Delete" to confirm the removal.
Deleting a member will remove them from the People Block entirely and revoke their ability to see or interact with the event if they have "View attending events" permissions tied to their inclusion in the block.
Key Notes
- Changes to member statuses and RSVP actions are saved instantly.
- RSVP responses are disabled if the status is manually updated to "Attending," "Maybe Attending," or "Not Attending."
- Be cautious when deleting members, as this can impact their event permissions.
